My name is Lauren and I am 39 years old. I have 2 nieces, age 7 and 9 who I adore and spend much time with. I majored in child psychology. I have over 2 years hands on nanny experience with 2 brothers who are both autistic and non verbal ages 5 and 8 who I cherish. I was able to immediately form a bond that flourished with both children who both have their own special needs and treat/teach them accordingly. I love playing sensory games and getting sensory needs met which is crucial and am very familiar with AAC devices. Before I was hired by this family, I was hired to be an aba therapist but decided not to go that route. Just one of my highlights is teaching my 8-year-old to say the alphabet when he was completely non verbal prior. I've always had a special connection children but my passion is with special needs. I am fun, energetic, kind, can relate to children, responsible and love helping people , especially those with special needs. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
