About Laurel

As the big sister to 3 siblings, my love for interacting with children began at an early age. My first job was at a daycare and I've always had a niche for caring for kids. It's always been intriguing learning about each child's interests and watching them develop into their own character. Throughout my 3 1/2 years of college I enjoyed tending to various families' needs. I recently obtained my assosciates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. In this area all jobs in the pediatric field are fulfilled and I'm eager to continue applying my "gift" of working with children to serve families near me! OT offers intervention and rehabilitation towards activities performed by everyone everyday. My position entails a just-right challenge to engage children in developmentally appropriate activities and report their progress and behaviors in relation to the stimuli. Working with children pushes me to be the most creative, flexible, nurturing, patient, and energetic version of myself!
