I have been a babysitter for the past 10+ years. I have cared for a large variety of children but have recently had about a years experience worth of caring for a child with autism as well as a child with ADHD and RAD. With both children, I maintain order and control whilst having a great time and ensuring that the children are engaged. I take initiative to find fun activities that play into the special interests of the people I care for. I even went above and beyond to find a special-needs baseball team for the teenager with autism that I watch! Unfortunately, I am looking to move on from the family that I'm currently with. The teenager I take care of every weekend has been struggling with a new diagnosis of schizophrenia and is becoming very violent in a way that I do not feel safe being around any longer. I'm looking to make an impact and have fun doing it! Whatever your child's hobbies or interests are, I am excited to learn and foster their enthusiasm!
