About Laura

Hi! My name is Laura, and I am a grad student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at IU-Indianapolis. I have several years of experience babysitting kids aged 3-13. I also used to work at Kumon tutoring kids, and I have taught swim lessons for kids as well. I currently volunteer for Go Baby Go, a program through the IU Physical Therapy Department that collaborates with engineers to adapt toy cars for children with disabilities to drive and play with. We customize the cars for each child and host a play day for the families to come in and test drive the cars! I also used to work in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Purdue as an undergrad research assistant in a lab that studies early childhood development. I collected data for the project by working directly with preschoolers and assessing them on various skills. I'm looking to help a family out with childcare or pet care this semester/this year.
