About Laura

Hello! I am new grad RN who is available during the summer to a local Colorado Springs family for childcare. I have had experience caring for children with special needs such as Autism and Cerebral Palsy. The age groups I have the most experience with are: infants (6 months), toddlers (ages 2-3), young children (ages 5 and 7), and pre-teens (ages 11 and 12). I have taken Human Growth and Development and graduated from nursing school with honors. I really enjoy keeping children active and learning such as taking them to the local library, the Smithsonian, doing arts and crafts projects appropriate to their developmental level, going for walks at the local park or open space, and playing at the park. I don't use the television as a babysitter and prefer for children to be active and have fun. I will run errands and do light housekeeping. I am located in the old north end of Colorado Springs and I would like to work with in a 15 mile radius of that area. I am available immediately and I can't wait to meet you and your family!
