About Laura

Hello! My name is Laura and I am available until late August when I return to my teaching job in Europe. My summer has already began and I am excited to work with a family who shares the same values when it comes to their child's education. I am a firm believer in engaging children through hands-on and critical thinking activities. There's nothing more exciting than seeing the wheels turn in a young mind! My personal hobbies include reading, travel, language learning and cultural studies. I enjoy a relatively active lifestyle through dance and other activities. I am bilingual in Spanish having a B. A. in the language as well as six years of living in Spain under my belt. I also have a limited working knowledge of German. I am passionate about education and I especially encourage the development of self-esteem in children. If you'd like an experienced teacher with a global perspective who will encourage and actively engage your child this summer, I'm your woman! :) I will return to Spain early September at which point I will begin a masters at Comillas University.
