Hello! My name is Laura. I am the mother of 3 wonderful children and grandmother of 2 ( hopefully more in the near future). I was a stay at home mom for 22 years. After my children grew up and flew the nest, I decided to go back to school and I studied and graduated at the top of my class and became a respiratory therapist. After working in the hospital and having sometimes over 20 patients in a shift, I realized that I was missing the fulfillment I get from one on one care. That is when I decided caregiving was my true calling. I have been caregiving for 10 years now. I recently moved back to AZ to be close to my grandkids. I have experience with Alzheimer's , dementia, diabetes, COPD,, tube feeding, wound care, personal care and everything in between. I am very diligent with individual nutritional needs and have been very successful helping with weight gain and weight loss. I am a single Man in my 60s, suffering from End Stage Renal Disease. I am required to do Dialisys treatment 3 days a week. I had recently undergone a procecedure to remove a kidney that was found to be Cancerous. Although the procedure went without a hitch, recovering was a different story. It left me confined to a bed for a seriously long time. However, I somehow stumbled on Laura who was essential in my recovery. Not only was she able to lift my 190lb body with ease, she was also very well versed in pain management. She kept the area tidy, made sure I didn't fall behind on meds, and drove me to and fro treatment and Dr appointments as needed. I totally enjoyed her company, and she's actually quite funny at the exact right times. The icing on the cake was that the girl was an awesome cook. I definitely would use her again, and highly recommend her to anyone at their time of need. I pray she will be available for my upcoming kidney transplant, but you never know. One could only hope. I Highly recommend! W.
