*looking for a full time position starting in late May/Early June* I began my career as a nanny during the pandemic. Over the past 4 years I've nannied for children, ages ranging from early infancy to 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny I worked 10 years as an infant teacher. As a nanny I have followed a schedule, set by the families I work for. I prepare meals, diaper and help with potty training, organize toys, keep children areas clean and do light housekeeping (i. e. dishes). I foster learning opportunities based on the children's interests. I feel that young children learn best during play. I love to see the children reach milestones in all developmental areas, language, social emotional, cognitive, fine motor and gross motor. My favorite activity is singing and dancing with the children.

We can't recommend Laura enough and any family would be lucky to work with her! Laura has been working with our family during a year long contract that will end when we send our child to daycare as planned for socialization. She started with us when our daughter was just over 4 months old. She is extremely hands on with infants and toddlers - spending the day playing, singing, and reading. She's extremely reliable, dependable, and always on time. She has experience in all aspects of childcare - bottle prep, food prep, introducing solids, learning how to drink from a straw, diapering and changing, adapting routines/nap schedules as babies grow, and soothing. Laura is always conscious of the milestones our daughter is working on and finding creative ways to work on them with her - including rolling, crawling, drinking from a straw, cruising, walking, gestures, language development, etc. She creates a flexible and fun routine for her. She's also wonderful about helping our family be prepared after the busy work day - helping tremendously with keeping play areas and the nursery tidy, laundry, restocking diaper stations, etc. We also love that Laura has experience in daycare settings and is extremely aware of the state daycare guidelines - following them in her own experience in our home. We are so grateful for Laura's help!
