Hello! I'm Laura, I'm 22 years old, and a recent college graduate. A little about myself: I grew up with 7 siblings in a small town in Kansas and was homeschooled until high school. I love to travel and studied abroad in Spain for a semester in college. My family has traveled to Colorado most summers since I was born, so I love to be active and outdoors. I've loved being around kids since I can remember and have pursued jobs with children ever since I started working. I have 10 years of experience babysitting (ages 0-12 and up to 7 kids at once, including twins), in nursery care, nannying, and interning at a non-profit in Dallas during the summers that puts on a day camp centered around literacy and social-emotional learning for under-served children and youth in the Dallas area. I am comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities, swimming with kids, and creating fun, educational activities! I'm looking for a long term, full time job with a welcoming and loving family.

We hired Laura as a short-term nanny to help us get through the extended summer (due to COVID-19) until our kids (son 7 and daughter 5) were back in school, and she did an amazing job! Laura is compassionate, but firm, and is a real natural with children. She was great at engaging with the kids on their level and finding ways to entertain and motivate them throughout the day (without resorting to screen time, which is no easy task with our kiddos!) Laura was also very patient and understanding while caring for our son, who is diagnosed with ASD (high functioning) and has some behavioral issues. She was able to interact with him quite successfully and independently, with only a little guidance from us, which was great. I would absolutely hire her again.
