Laurie is incredible! We feel so grateful to have found her here! There are so many things that sold me on Laurie. One is her credentials and experience. She ran a daycare center and had all of the certifications, experience, hands-on knowledge, needed to be a nanny. She had all the CPR, first aid experience, etc., so we felt 100% safe with her. Outside of the experience she is so loving. It was so important to us that our nanny was as loving and giving as we are to our son, and Laurie treated our son like her own. So attentive with lots of hugs and a demeanor that is gentle, kind and affectionate. She was so accommodating to all of my lists, rules of what he can and can't eat, what time to put him down for a nap, when to wake him, etc. I asked her to keep a log of what he ate and when he took a nap, and she often also wrote notes of things he did that day which was nice for my husband and I to read when we came home from work. But, she was unphased by all of my "asks" and requests. She would be 100% capable if you are a mom that is not as specific. Given her background in daycare, she was able to start our son with letters and numbers, reading, and so, so many art projects! My son loved it! We would frequently get videos of our son counting to 10 or singing a son. It was also so nice to come home to so many projects that we have to this day. We saved all of them. She is kind and patient and willing to work with you in every way. Laurie felt like family. She worked at our home while my husband worked from home and it felt completely natural to have her there. I can't imagine her not being a part of our lives. Having her as our son's nanny was truly a gift.
