I have worked in communications and I teach English as a Second Language now privately. I often say it is my volunteer work with children, for the Special Olympics and the Ronald McDonald House, that has taught me the most about communication and how to identify and best help different types of learners. I have worked with critically ill children, children with downs syndrome, autism, and those who are emotionally and physically challenged. They have astounded me in their wisdom and capacity for Joy, if we can only listen and learn how they communicate, and assist them in developing the necessary skills to express themselves. I also write children's books about developing a child's spirit - and much of what I write about has been taught to me by the Special Children I have worked with. I look forward to getting to know your child and know they will teach me as much as I teach them!
