I've enjoyed working in child care for 24 years, mainly from birth to 13 years old, I specialize in babies and toddlers. I held positions as a patient care advocate, in elder care, and as a Life Skills Trainer for NeuroRestorative, a long term care facility for adults with brain injuries. I have much experience as a nanny, occasional babysitter and as a Youth Care Worker in an institutional foster care home where I took care of meds/first aid, doctor appointments, academic tutoring, and behavioral therapy. I'm trained in letter boarding for nonverbal children, and all therapies-physical, speech, occupational, and behavioral. I love playing outside, coloring, doing art or science projects, cooking, and reading. I'm fluent in Spanish and understand some Portuguese, having traveled internationally often. I also have experience with pet care so I can take care of the family pets at the same time.

Laura has been with our family for 5 years taking care of our 2 little ones. She picks them up from school, helps with homework, plays with them, makes dinner, helps clean up and bath time. She has always shown up when needed and taken such good care of our girls. She has become like family. Finding someone to take care of your kids is such a scary thing and finding someone trust worthy is of upmost importance. The only reason she is no longer with us is because of schedule conflicts. We are so sad to see her go.
