About Laura

Hi, I'm Laura! I grew up in a large family, so babysitting my younger cousins and family members came naturally from a young age. In terms of formal childcare experience, I nannied two girls (ages 8 and 4) for around 16 months while I was in college. This included tutoring/online schooling, meal preparation, creative play (both indoors and outdoors), baking, crafts and tons of fun. In addition to this, I worked as a dance teacher for several years, teaching classes and choreographing for students from ages 3-12. I've been babysitting since I was 13, so I fully understand the great responsibility that comes with caring for another family's little one's. Families I've worked for would describe me as responsible, fun, creative and dependable. A little about me outside of childcare: I am located in the Logan Circle neighborhood of D. C. and work full-time at a public relations firm. I graduated from Ithaca College in 2021 and grew up in New York. I love to travel, read and hike.
