About Laura

I have over 10 years of experience caring for babies, toddlers, and children up to age 7. I believe in allowing children to be who they are, and I would love to help them build on their strengths and interests. I am a mom of two, and new young grandma to a 18 month little miss! I am very healthy, and work out 5 days a week. I have always been an advocate for learning. I had my children in preschool at age 3, where I helped to supervise the children. Park play time, dance, creative time, reading, and quiet time. All are important for healthy child development!! I would like to help your children with their happy childhood. I am CPR certified! I have also successfully completed a Criminal Background Check as of 7/16/21. I have a reliable vehicle for transporting children safely, and can provide a clean driving record. I also love animals ( primarily dogs, as I grew up in a household where my mother worked with the SPCA) so pets were very much a part of my growing years!

Laura worked with our family from February - June 2022. She was very communicative, on time, engaging with the girls and kept them on a schedule. Our girls (8 months at the time & 3-y-o) quickly warmed up to Laura as she has a pleasant and fun personality. Occasionally, when our 7-year-old was out of school, Laura also engaged with her, sometimes drawing or coloring. I work from home so from time to time, I could hear her singing songs, counting and reading books to the girls. Laura likes being busy, so she's helped us with folding laundry for the girls or cleaning up in the kitchen. When we hired Laura, she was aware that by summer we would be moving out of state. She willingly helped us with packing in her downtime. Laura has left an indelible mark on our girls, and we are thankful to have had her in their lives, and at a time when I needed someone to help me while I started a new job working from home.
