I have had a passion for people with special needs since I was young. In high school, I was a peer tutor for a special needs class and in college, I have been an active friend to students with special needs. Along with having a bachelor's degree in Art Therapy my education has been from lots of life experience and learning from my mom who has an occupation working with children who have special needs. My younger sister has autism so I am familiar with accommodating her special needs and continuing to learn the best way to communicate with her and people like her. Being able to care for a child with special needs, keeping them safe and healthy, while enriching their lives has always been a passion of mine. Whenever I see anyone reach a goal and feel proud of themselves it brings me the most joy.
