I was recently laid off from my job after 18 year of working in behavioral medicine, working primarily with the senior population . My work was very rewarding as I worked with families and their loved ones in helping them obtain treatment in an a acute care setting. My passion is working with seniors. I am looking to provide companion care to a senior and family in need. I have more than 20 years experience in working with patients and families dealing with behavior issues related to Dementia and other issues that seniors face such as feeling a loss of purpose, and increased isolation . Also, I currently am involved in volunteer work with meals on wheels which has given me a very strong desire to work with the senior population. I am CPR certified. I am kind, compassionate and care very deeply about making a difference.
