Hi! I am the mom of 2 grown boys and have 6 years experience in education. I worked 3 years in a Florida elementary school as a paraprofessional with emphasis on small group reading intervention. After moving to Texas I started with the McKinney ISD preschool program working with children 2-5. For the last 10 months I have been tutoring a 4-year-old, preparing him for Kindergarten. I try to build lessons around your child's interests to keep them engaged. I also incorporate lots of arts & crafts as well as science experiments. I love helping children learn and, as a nature lover, I enjoy showing them the wonders of their world. I am also an enthusiastic yoga practitioner and often lead my students in kid yoga both for exercise and as a calming activity.

We hired Miss Laura to teach our daughter preschool curriculum. She's a great teacher and there's not a single day my daughter could go without talking about her. Miss Laura comes with a lot of arts, crafts and science experience to keep my 3 year old engaged during her time. She is very punctual and very sweet with kids and reliable. We had to let her go as we decided to send our daughter to Pre-K in August this year but I would love to hire her back any day!
