About Laura

I am a passionate, energetic, patient, and creative elementary certified teacher, Pre-K through 6th grade. I enjoy and teach for that light bulb that clicks on in a child's eye when he/she has grasped a lesson or concept. I establish a positive connection with my students by learning what they like and how they learn. With this in place, students soar and can achieve anything! I teach problem solving and critical thinking strategies for these skills are not only academic ones, but life skills too. I have over 20 years experience as an elementary teacher. In addition, I have been a home school teacher, reading and math intervention teacher, tutor, homework helper, and Mad Scientist. I am flexible and will drop off or pick up your child as needed.
