I grew up with my autistic brother. He never had a drivers license and walked everywhere or rode a bike. One particular snowy night he was walking home from Walmart on a street that had no sidewalks. A pickup with a snow plow on the front hit my brother a knocked him into a deep ditch. He was life-flighted to Kansas City where he died a week later.
