I have helped care for the elderly on and off since I was 16. It was my first job at a teenager and it was at that point that I realized I enjoyed spending time with and caring for the elderly. On and off throughout my lifetime I have worked in various settings to care for seniors. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, worked for in- home health care agencies and also worked in private homes as a self-employed caregiver.. After getting married my husband and I raised 4 children and pastored several churches in various states. We are now retired from pastoring but continue to be very involved in our church teaching classes, in the prayer ministry, and also marriage counseling. I am interested in picking up a few part-time hours and also respite care.
