About Lara

I am a college student looking for babysitting jobs since one of my biggest passions is childcare and working with kids. I am a psych major at IU Bloomington, and really enjoy child psychology as well as being double CPR certified and infant CPR certified for your peace of mind :) Whether it's arts and crafts, storytelling, outdoor adventures, or anything else the kids wanna do I always aim to create a fun and stimulating environment for children under my care. Additionally, I possess skills in tutoring and homework help, and can also cook complex or simple meals. In terms of my approach to babysitting, I lean towards gentle methods that prioritize building respectful empathetic/trusting relationships with children. I believe in understanding and addressing their emotions and needs with patience and empathy rather than relying on authoritarian or punishment-based tactics. I'm looking for a job where I feel respected and communication is open as well as expectations being clear set.
