About Lanita

I'd describe my personality as calm, patient, being very open-minded and understanding. I have been told by others than I am a very honest, caring and reliable kind of person. I'm looking for a job that is rewarding but also can be fun and that allows me to learn new things. I started working with kids when I was one myself, helping to raise my many foster siblings as we grew up through out the years, while also helping out the younger grades during my elementary to middle school years. I also have experience working as a Direct Support Professional for almost a year, working with a variety of clients from ages 16 to 75. While I left that job due to college, it still remains one of my favorite careers to this day; I enjoyed working with and meeting so many unique individuals and being able to help them grow was super fulfilling. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, long boarding, hang with friends, read a good book, garden and walk my dog, or go snowboarding in the winter.
