I am privileged to have the most amazing Sun (yes he's my bright sun ;) He has Down Syndrome. I have grown & learned beyond measure since his birth 5 years ago. I have been involved in the Down Syndrome community. (I find it somewhat limiting) I know my sun is not disabled, he is differently able. I have a different view & approach to life, & it's such an honor to spend time with beings like my Sun, & to be the mother of such a beautiful, amazing child. The last seven years have been spent caring for & loving my Sun & my grandmother. My grandmother just passed on a few months ago. I have done so much for her in the physical sense (bathing, bed bathing, meal preparation, cleaning, organizing, dressing, carrying her from bed to the shower & toilet) I was privileged to have her in my home & care the last 7 years. She & I have been very close my whole life. What a divine honor to care for her in her precious last years. I love working with the children & elderly.
