I am 19 years old and recently graduated high school with a strong interest in caregiving for both pets and people. Since I was 10, I've cared for friends' and family pets, discovering that they are not just companions but family. Each furry friend has taught me about love, responsibility, and unconditional companionship. My first pet, a scruffy terrier named Max, entered my life when I was five. He was my confidant and partner in adventure, teaching me the essence of responsibility as I learned to care for him. My bond with Max filled my childhood with joy and laughter. As a teenager, I began volunteering at a local animal shelter, which opened my eyes to the plight of abandoned animals. Each visit reminded me of life's fragility and the importance of kindness.
