I have a Bachelor's degree in social work and am currently a case manager for the elderly who are on a Managed Care Plan. I have always had an interest in working with people with developmental disabilities. I have seven years of group home work experience working with various types of clients. My last part-time position was as an activity coordinator for a group home in which I take out the client's individually and plan activities for them that meet their interests. I am looking for something very part-time in which I would take out an individual with developmental disabilities preferably between the ages of 12-40 into the community and also help with independent living skills and mentoring. I feel I am creative in finding activities to do and am open to try new things. My available hours would be a couple nights per week in the evening around 5 p.m. and some weekends.
