About Lacey

I assisted in my mother's home daycare starting in my early teens. Further, my brother is 14 years my junior and I have a significant guardianship role in his life, even taking lead to facilitate his 504 plan starting in elementary school. I have some experience caring for disabled children and young adults ranging from mild to severe and volunteer as a disability advocate. I nannied part time throughout college, mentored with America Reads, and was a teaching assistant for Freshman design courses. I've worked in after school programming teaching design thinking with DEI Lab and The Downtown Sailing Center. I'm currently working with BirthingAdvocacy. org in their full spectrum doula course to work as a doula and reproductive healthcare advocate focused on disability advocacy. I often care for multiple children at once, most of my experience being with children under five in groups of 2-4. I am current on my CPR/first aid certification.
