About Kyra

Hi! I'm Kyra, a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Public Health and pursuing a career in pediatric medicine. I have a passion for working with children and a strong background in healthcare and safety, being CPR/AED certified and holding a Nursing Assistant Certification. I'm also proficient in American Sign Language. Outside of school, you'll find me playing music or on the rugby pitch! I play guitar, ukulele, and love to sing. Rugby has taught me about teamwork, leadership, and staying active- traits I bring into my childcare approach. In childcare, I focus on creating a trusting, open environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. I believe it's important for kids to know their feelings are heard and respected. Using empathetic communication, I guide children through problem-solving and learning opportunities, always aiming to create a safe, fun, and nurturing space where they can thrive. I can't wait to meet you and your little ones!
