About Kyra

I'd describe my personality as creative, nurturing and silly. I like working with kids because they have a refreshing perspective on the world and I'm inspired by them everyday. I'm a children's writer who's a kid at heart and I love caretaking. I started working with kids when I was about 15 years old. I started watching family members like my younger brother with autism. Then I moved on to babysitting for friends and family. In 2019 I earned a certificate as a Direct Care Professional after receiving training on how to effectively caretaker for those with disabilities. In my spare time, I like to read books, crochet, cook new dishes, write short stories, watch movies, roller skate, arts and crafts and exercise. My skills include preparing kid friendly meals and assisting with feeding, engaging in fun/educational activities to improve motor and/or verbal skills and preparing for bedtime through routine.
