I have 5 years experience as an ABA therapist have personally navigated the challenges of developmental delays and early childhood special needs with my own son. I have extensive experience working in IEP negotiation and fiercely advocating for special needs support. While homeschooling my son M and W (we hybrid home school, so my son is at school other days), I'm looking for an individual/family to support Tu, Th and F and am open weekends with advanced notice. My combined experiences allow me to support special needs from a nurturing and compassionate perspective. I am capable of scaffolding academic learning by providing homework/tutoring help or supplementing with additional curriculum, discuss, plan and implement behavioral strategies, and provide generalized understanding care in any special needs environment. I also have years of experience working with related fields: occupational therapy, speech pathologists, paraeducators, special education teachers and IEP teams, etc.
