Hi! I'm a former elementary educator. I taught first and fourth grade for 10 years before deciding a year ago to take some time away from the classroom. My experience with children extends from basic in-home child care, through tutoring, and teaching. All of my years in education were spent in general education inclusion classrooms, and I have experience working closely with students with a range of diagnoses and disabilities. I've cared for children of all ages, from infants and toddlers, to elementary aged and older. I am looking for part-time work on either a regular or one-time basis. I am comfortable with multiples as well as with special needs. I love doing arts & crafts, sports, reading, and spending time outdoors! I am happy to provide nannying references. Please reach out if you feel I would be a good fit for your needs! Thank you! Kylie

Kylie has been so amazing with my infant/now toddler son! She was caring for him 3/4 days a week from 3-9 months. I work from home most days and she was did a great job keeping him away, occupied, and happy when necessary and popping by to visit or ask questions when I was free. She was ready to approach each day however I needed. She wrote down his activities and notes every day and on days I had to go into work she sent pics and updates. Overall, she is great at entertaining him- finding new things to do around the house or outside and she did tummy time and other activities to encourage new skills. On fussy days, she is awesome at calming and distracting him and was a huge help during nap/sleep training- even if it meant sitting in a dark room rocking him to sleep for a while. She's also a pro at mealtime and getting him to try new foods. During nap time, she does extra tasks like laundry, prepping food for dinner, or opening/wiping down new toys. My son is now in a home daycare around the block, but we miss having Kylie here every day! She still comes by to watch my son if I need someone during the week or on the weekend for date nights. He lights up every time he sees her, and they have so much fun together. She's been flexible with her schedule for us and is always excited to see my son. It's been a relief to have someone I can totally rely on and trust!
