About Kyle

It is my philosophy that it is through devotion to those in their twilight years that we show our appreciation to those who have walked so far and carried burdens heavier than our own. Adulthood is marked by independence, but I see it not as ironic or as a fault that progression deeper into adulthood sees us regress into a need for help in ways that we - having known such independence heretofore - might make us feel ashamed or lacking. Rather, it's a chance to rest and trust in the goodwill of those who either by familial connection, friendship or otherwise, have earned less of their own grand repose. I started caring for seniors when my grandmother and my stepfather's mother were both in need of hospice care and eventually passed in the same hospice within six months of each other in 2019. This left in me a deep dissatisfaction with my career in retail as well as a spiritual void. I left my employer in the following year and began training as a PCA/HHA.
