I have worked as a mental health specialist at several hospitals for over a year. There I have worked with patients with a variety of mental health issues, including behavioral disorders and children on the autism spectrum. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength based therapy. I am CPI and CPR certified as well. I believe that compassion, positive energy and patience are the cornerstones of working with children with special needs. Even though at times the work may be challenging, the overall experience is incredibly rewarding.
