I have worked as a mental health specialist at several hospitals for Children's Unit 1 inpatient psychiatric wing for over a year. There I have worked with patients with a variety of mental health issues, including behavioral disorders and children on the autism spectrum. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength based therapy. I am CPI and CPR certified as well. I believe that compassion, positive energy and patience are the cornerstones of working with children with special needs.
