I have always been an animal lover. Growing up, I was responsible for the care of many dogs, cats, and horses. I also had intended on becoming a veterinarian during college. However, it wasn't in the cards for me! I am a humanities-type, not a scientist! Over the years, in preparation for my potential career as a veterinarian, I job shadow for multiple vets in my hometown and cared for the pets as they woke up from anesthesia. Today, I care for our family pets, including Pretzel, a chihuahua mix and three kitties. I am hoping to care for others' pets. Recently, I cared for two cats while friends of ours were on vacation!
