About Kyla

I'd describe my personality as friendly, patient, and understanding. I like working with kids because seeing their growth and knowing I'm apart of something so special helps motivate me and is a passion of mine. I started working with kids when I was 16, it started off as small baby sitting jobs but eventually advanced into official jobs like daycare teaching. One thing you should know about me is I like to build connections with the children I work with through easy yet clear communication and by showing mutual respect. My skills include getting children to engage, whether it is with me or with activities, talking to children even when they are under stress, and handling children's "big" emotions. I think it's important to acknowledge that for, especially younger kids, emotions are huge and scary for them so it's important to treat them as big things to acknowledge their valid feelings. I have a clean driving record, a valid DL, and a clean child safe car. I'm non smoker.
