A proud mom to an amazing little boy the eldest of six siblings Ive always had a nurturing role in my family While my paid experience is mostly with children Ive gained great unpaid experience with seniors I was blessed to create cherished memories with my great grandparents who shaped the person I am today When my great grandmother Momma was in rehab with dementia I cherished our moments together and am forever grateful for the bond we shared Caring for others runs in my family My aunt her sister a community advocate was the driving force behind the Severn Senior Center Her dedication inspires me daily Im also grateful to still have one set of great grandparents who raised me and my family and I now pitch in to care for them as they age These experiences taught me patience compassion and the importance of connection Id bring my 1-year-old son along hes a joy and elders always adore him As a grandchild Ill treat your matriarch or patriarch as my own
