Moved to Georgia from New York where I worked as a disabilities specialist for a non profit agency for 9+ years. I assisted with everyday living routines for special needs individuals such as administered medication, prepared meals, scheduled doctor appointments, documented behavior, assistance with hygiene, housekeeping, community outings, encouraged happy environment around the house, and a lot more. I recently became a certified RBT. Majority of the people I worked with had down syndrome, epilepsy, blind, pica, behaviors, and etc. . So I like to be proactive to avoid any incidents. I encourage having holiday parties, birthday parties, arts and crafts, movie nights, whatever makes them happy and isn't harmful let's do it! I am a mother of five so I know how important it is to make sure your child or family member has the best care.
