Hi my name is Kristy. I am a mom of two teenagers. I have been cleaning for most of my life and absolutely love what I do.

Kristy seemed great initially. She was responsive and professional. Seemed nice, straight forward, and organized. She came, evaluated my home and expectations, and did a quote. I did have my first red flag during this interaction when she told me she upcharged a prior client $20 for a torn up dog toy that she had to clean up, But I agreed that if there was any large, or extensive mess, I would be happy to pay a little extra.) We agreed upon a price (which was substantially higher ($45 more) than my previous cleaner but I was hoping that would represent quality). She told me 24 hours ahead of time that she would be there 3.5 hours earlier than the agreed upon time, fortunately I was flexible that day. I met her there, and told her I was working from home and to let me know if any questions. She did not. I checked in 2 hours later, and she said "they did a little extra with walls and baseboards for us". I said thanks and moved on. (To be clear, during our initial consultation, I did ask about cost for a deep clean including baseboards, etc. So I could plan on an added cost in the future. That was not agreed upon for her cleaning initially. ) They (she and a helper) were there about 4-5 hours. Our house was straightened up in advance with no major messes. She told me she'd contact me once they wrapped up since I had to step away. She then texted me that it would be an extra $150 ABOVE the high base cost because of the "extra work". Now, when I returned home, kitchen cabinets hadn't all been wiped down, and I couldn't find much evidence of walls and baseboards being done (at least not $150 worth). Also, the house didn't "smell clean", which I always looked forward to with our prior cleaner. I shared my concerns, but did pay the money as we really need a cleaner right now with some life circumstances that I shared with her. I agreed to give it another chance in 2 weeks. Then, a week later, she sends another text that she won't be coming back. Which, honestly is fine with me as there were enough red flags that she wasn't a good fit for us. I will say, What she did clean was done well- She cleaned the appliances well, the kitchen hood and counters were nicely done. The bathrooms were well done. The floors were okay, nothing spectacular. ( There were some areas that debris was left behind- I don't mind if there is a little bit of pet hair here and there because I know how easily it can be missed. But with the amount of money we were charged I would have expected to be able to eat off of any surface in our home.) Overall, what she cleans, she cleans well. I just felt the job was incomplete, work was done without a prior arrangement agreeing upon cost, and when I came here to leave this review, I noted that her prior profile had been deleted, and this one started. She had mentioned to me that she didn't like having bad reviews. I would say if you are a single person home, or a couple without pets or children, she would be a great person to hire. If there are children in the home, pets, or anything else that could possibly be charged extra for, she likely will and you should be aware of it ahead of time.
