I try to engage kids in books, art, music, and physical activity. I want the experience to be memorable for them. I'd describe my personality as friendly, compassionate, and authentic. I like working with kids because it's an honor to contribute to their growth and development. And they are fun! I'm looking for a job that is an occasional weekday/evening, or weekend and it would be nice to see the same family so the kids could get familiar with me. I started working with kids when I graduated college in 1999 and became a home care pediatric RN. I did that until I moved to Oregon in Jan 2025. In my spare time, I like to sing in a choir I joined, take classes on massage because I am also a licensed massage therapist. I listen to audio books and like to hike. One thing you should know about me is I am an advocate for children and want them to be safe and feel safe. My skills include being attentive, making learning fun, empathy and compassion.
