I have over 10 years experience working with children. I was an elementary school teacher for 5 years (taught kinder, first, and 3rd - 5th grade in all subjects both in the U. S. and abroad - I served in the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps teaching). I've been a babysitter for about 5 years and been a camp counselor before, etc. so I love working with kids. My passion is cultivating a safe space for kids to be whoever they are, foster their creativity, and expand critical thinking. I'm certified in SPeD, ESL, and mental health. Currently I'm working from home full time in HR at a tech company but would like to do this part time / as needed. I have 3 bachelors degrees in communication, English, and music from Santa Clara, a masters in education from Johns Hopkins, and I hope to start my EdD in Leadership and Organizational Change at NYU in the fall. I can speak a little Spanish, Italian, and Thai but I understand them more than I'm able to respond.
