About Kristin

Hi! I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last 15 1/2 years. My kids are 15, 9, and 8 years old. Prior to "momming" full-time, I worked with kids in many capacities. I was a lifeguard/swimming lessons instructor, an inner city playground leader, frequent babysitter, and a Sunday school teacher in Copenhagen, Denmark. I also earned my secondary teaching certification from Duke University to teach high school social studies. I have also worked with kids from many different cultures, when I volunteered at an intercultural center in Copenhagen. When my family lived in Germany prior to moving to Texas, I taught English to a German student whose first language was Spanish. I am comfortable helping children with their homework. I worked at the University of Pennsylvania Writing Center, thus I am especially able to help students with writing assignments or college application essays.
