I then moved in with my grandmother for the last few years of her life for live-in care. After that, I worked with an agency as well as a couple of private cases. I am a certified nurses assistant, where I was trained and certified at Brothers of Mercy nursing home in Clarence, NY. I have worked with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, know how to use a manual/automatic sit-to-stand machine, and a Hoyer lift. I have flushed and emptied catheters and have done minor wound care. With my clients, I've taken care of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, and paying bills. I can help with bathing, dressing, transportation, some gardening, feeding, and enjoy being a friendly face. I can work from 1 hour to multiple hour shifts, and am flexible based on your families needs.
