I'd describe my personality as caring, personable, responsible, knowledgeable and funny. I have always loved being around kids and started babysitting when I was 12. I was a babysitter/nanny for a family where I grew up while I was in middle/high school and college. I spent many summers with them and traveled with them frequently. I am now teaching Special Education in Traverse City. I have been teaching for over 25 years now, in Elementary and Special Education grades K-4. I have two kids of my own, ages 18 and 22. I love animals, especially dogs :), I have 2 golden retrievers. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, and enjoy nature in Northern Michigan. I am looking for a summer job doing something I love and would love the opportunity to work with your family. I am looking to work during the week but can be available some weekend days/evenings if needed.
