20 yrs of tutoring experience at local community college. College entrance tests, basic English, and basic biology. . I am upbeat, outgoing, patient I love it when students finally grasp an idea or concept and realize that it was not as difficult as they first perceived. The student and I look at the whole concept and together break it down into easier parts. Looking at the parts and slowly putting these together often brings that "ah ha!" moment, which is incredibly rewarding! Tutoring allows me to use the skills and talents I have fine tuned over the years to help students become independent learners. This is incredibly empowering for the individual. I started tutoring in 2002. I like to swim, bike, run; listen to music, hang out with my friends. I am incredibly patient, BUT I do expect my students to do their homework I assign.
