I have been caring for children for 8 years. I have had childcare experience in friends' homes, through the services of Portland Nanny, at Vivian Olum Child Development Center in Eugene, OR, and at a Shelter for abused women and children in Cape Town, South Africa. The majority of my experience is with infants and preschoolers, but I love all ages! Recently, I was a camp counselor at Camp PALS, a summer camp for young adults with Down Syndrome. In addition to this, I have experience working with both children on the Autism Spectrum and children with Down Syndrome. I welcome the opportunity to work with youth with special needs again. As a caregiver, I am kind and even-tempered. I have the ability to react quickly to situations in a gentle manner. I am currently going back to school with the end goal of receiving a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. My interests include baking, recreational sports, and traveling.
