Hello, my name is Kristen, I am 25 years old, recently married and currently pursuing Occupational Therapy. I recently worked at Seattle Children's Hospital on the Pediatric Mental Health Unit but am now pursuing Occupational Therapy. I worked at Jill's House, a non-profit organization in the DC area that provides respite for families who have children with special needs by providing long breaks to these families and extending care to children ages 6-18. I have worked over 2, 000 hours providing care to a vast array of children with special needs including Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy and many other disabilities. I am passionate about serving this population that is often overlooked and desire to see what they can do rather than what their limitations are. I also have experience tutoring, nannying, managing households and working abroad with children with special needs. I am looking for part-time work to help pay for school and living expenses.
