I have babysat children since I was age 15. I would transport them to any extracurricular activities they had to attend to. I helped plan their birthday or special event parties with their families. The best job I ever had was being a care giver to an 18-year-old autistic boy. His mindset was much younger than his actual age. I transported him everyday to his job, school, and any errands he needed to run. I also held the position during this job as a personal assistant to his mother. I would help her complete any tasks around the house and any paperwork for her son. Next week, I am spending three days with a young autistic boy and his sister while their parents are out of town. I have always got along and understood children of any age. I am going back to college in the fall to get a major in early childhood education. I also just began enrollment in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.
