About Kristen

Hi. I'm Kristen, a 42-year-old visual artist and mom to 17-year-old twins. With over 25 years of (all ages)childcare experience, I'm deeply passionate about nurturing children and supporting their development in a thoughtful, engaging way. I have extensive experience with Montessori and Reggio inspired education, having spent many years as a substitute teacher at my children's beloved Montessori school. I take a child-led, play-based approach to caregiving. I love planning age-appropriate activities, from art projects and music to outdoor adventures and storytime. I believe even the youngest children can benefit from creative expression, and I strive to make every day fun & enriching. As a caregiver, I value clear, open communication and often provide updates, photos, and texts to keep parents informed and reassured.
