About Kristen

I graduated from Ursinus College in 2016, where I completed my degree in just three years and graduated as the Valedictorian of my class. During my time at Ursinus, I worked as a tutor for two years in the college s Center for Writing and Speaking, where I learned how to create tutoring sessions oriented around improving the writer rather than just the paper itself. I took courses and participated in workshops about tutoring pedagogy and became very skilled at determining and prioritizing the areas in which writers struggled with in order to maximize time during short sessions. I worked with ESL students and international students ranging from 6th grade to the undergraduate level. Additionally, I helped students who were incredibly gifted writers become even better. I have experience working with MLA, APA, and Chicago citation styles, as well as Associated Press style (primarily used in Journalism classes).
