About Krista

Hello! My name is Krista and I am 24 years old. I would describe myself as a patient, organized, energetic, and thoughtful individual which I have to be since I am a teacher. I currently work in the South Country School District as a permanent substitute. I have been working in the South Country School District for 2 years. I graduated from East Stroudsburg University in the dual certification program of Health and Physical Education. I love sports! I have been fortunate enough to have had two leave replacements in the elementary grades (k-5). I am also first aid and CPR certified. Being a teacher in a school, particularly the gymnasium, has led me to master the ability to engage the children in fun, safe activities and in the same time maintain a level of order and great management for each and every child around me. I can tie shoelaces while making a "booboo" better all while going through the steps of how to kick a soccer ball, not to mention fixing a ponytail. I understand the importance of providing all children with the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun at the same time. I have not been a babysitter since high school, which was many years ago. However, I am trusted with children every day and they always leave my class smiling! I also love pets, especially my English Bulldog, Godiva :) And don't mind cooking/baking for your children or house work!
